The Anti-Counterfeit Agency has called for changes in procurement laws to effectively fight a rising number of fake products in the country.
Executive director Stephen Mallowah said the law that allows the lowest bidder to win a government tender exposes it to buying counterfeit products.
“The government is the biggest consumer of goods such as computer software hence becoming the culprit of counterfeit products and the law should change to help fight the menace,” he said…Read more.
